Resilience

The Steels Creek Community Resilience Project (SCCRP) is an initiative being conducted for the whole Steels Creek community by the community.  The SCCRP is being supported by the Resilience Canopy, a philanthropic organisation, whose process path the SCCRP is travelling along.

On Sunday 17 May, the Steels Creek Community group hosted a free, inclusive Community Lunch event, which was a resounding success.  It was great to see such a diverse representation of our wonderful community – people of all ages, both longtime and new community members, a mix of residents and owners not living in the community – all coming together. The information gathering was great fun and the buzz of conversations in the community centre was fantastic.

The SCCRP team have now converted this info into a report that is shared with the community here.  As a community, we now work together to prioritise actions and create a Resilience Plan to turn ideas into reality.  If you missed lunch but are keen to have your say, you still can.

Click here to open the project website pages where you can read and download the full report.  The site is interactive so that you can share your priorities and continue to participate.  https://www.steelscreeklandcare.org/ResilienceCanopy-About.html

Special thanks to Bruce Kellett for his wonderful work creating webpages for the project on the Steels Creek Landcare website.
