Community Centre Working Bee: upkeep of our garden area

The management of the community centre is not just limited to the building but includes the surrounding gardens and lawn. Ivan Filsell has done a great job keeping things in a tidy manner, ably assisted by Andrew Guthrie and his trusty ride on mower. In order to capitalise on Ivan and Andrews hard work, and recent repairs/maintenance carried out by the council, we are looking to create little projects, focusing on small sections of the gardens with the aim of giving the surrounds of the community centre a bit of a face lift.

Our first project will be the “Flag Pole Garden” beside the carpark. We are planning a busy bee for the 8th June at 9am (weather permitting – we are fair weather gardeners after all!) prior to the Exchange Hub. So come on down with your gloves, rakes and secateurs for an hour of recreational gardening, followed by a cuppa and a scone at the Exchange Hub.

We understand that is the long weekend, but for those not going away, you are most welcome to come along and give us a hand.
