Free Financial Counselling Service

Funded by the Department of Justice. Whether as a result of the 2009 fires or more generally, if you need some help resolving financial issues – e.g. paying debts, accessing government assistance, advocacy with creditors, managing your mortgage.

Your local free service is provided by Anglicare Yarra Ranges:

Free Legal Advice

Free legal advice, assistance and education provided by Eastern Community Legal Centre. ECLC’s lawyers can provide free legal advice on a range of issues, including family law; family violence and intervention orders; compensation for victims of crime; fines and infringements; car accidents; problems with neighbours, including fence and animal disputes; tenancy problems. If our lawyers are unable to advise you on a particular area of law, we will refer you to another service which is able to assist you.

The service is available at Healesville Community Link, 110 River Street,  9 am – 5 pm Tuesdays to Thursdays. An outreach service also operates on the fourth Thursday of each month at the Yarra Glen Memorial Hall, 45 Bell Street, Yarra Glen.
