Many people will already be aware that Jeff and Serena, the proprietors of the Yarra Glen Post office, have now moved on.
A very big “thank you” from the Steels Creek Community!
The help and support Serena and Jeff provided to many of the Steels Creek Community members following the Black Saturday Bushfires was outstanding.
From 2008 in “the old Post Office” across the road, through 2009 when they so generously and kindly helped hold mountains of mail and packages for many folks who suddenly didn’t have letter boxes due to the fires. Even their brilliant selection of local books and unique gifts helped many locals in ways too numerous to mention.
Ever professional, efficient, personable, cheerful, thoughtful; the accolades could easily continue… we’ll miss them!
Jeff and Serena – you have been amazing!
P.S. We’re happy to know that we’ll still see them running around Yarra Glen; just not behind the counter.
