A small group of Steels Creek community members have been looking into the Resilience Canopy program to see if it might be beneficial to the Steels Creek community. The group has the support of the SCCC Committee.
We are looking at partnering with the Resilience Canopy as part of the Future Ready Communities. The purpose of the program is to assist communities increase their ability to face and recover from challenges like windstorms, power outages, flood, fire and biohazards.
The program looks worthwhile and the next step is open up the discussion about the program to the Steels Creek Community. The aim of the group discussion is to see if the community is interested in working together to design a community led community resilience plan. We will be holding an information session to discuss, at 630pm on Thursday 5rd June at the SCCC.
