A Place Plan outline’s Council’s long-term strategic intent for a place by providing a clear vision for the future and outlining specific actions to achieve this vision over time. These plans are developed through extensive community engagement and thorough research.
Council works with community representatives to understand priorities of community and develop a Community Vision and action plan that will steer the future direction for a place. It sets the foundation for more detailed design projects, offering a clear evidence base to support planning decisions and advocate for funding.
The Yarra Glen Place Plan project, is currently open for community engagement. With Steels Creek being closely connected to Yarra Glen, we feel this is a great opportunity for our community to express our thoughts and ideas to influence the plan.
